The audit assessed the mechanisms that have been established by MoPED and other relevant stakeholders in respect of the preparedness for implementation of the 2030 Agenda. It covered the period between January 2016 to March 2018. It also considered the actions that have been taken by Parliament, Office of the President, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC), SSL, Western Area District Council (WARDC), Freetown City Council (FCC) and Civil Society Organisations, private sector and the United Nations Country Office towards preparing for the implementation of the SDGs. A Whole of Government (WoG) approach was used to examine how the Government’s Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) worked together to achieve the common goal of preparedness for the implementation of the SDGs in SL.

Tonga’s Preparedness for Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals

Using a combination of the system and result oriented approach, the performance audit assessed the actions taken by the Government of Tonga since September 2015 to prepare for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda at the national level only.

The audit did not cover the analysis of the implementation of the SDGs in Tonga, but only the readiness of Tonga to implement the SDGs.

 

Report on the Preparedness of the Tunisian State for the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals : The 2030 Agenda

The examination of the inclusion of the 169 Sustainable Development targets in the five-year development plan shows that 128 targets are explicitly or implicitly in line with the goals of the plan in the same development areas. The number of targets that could not be clearly linked to the goals of the plan is approximately 12, added to the targets whose implementation extends beyond the scope of a single State, and those that relate to the support of developing countries, or to issues and specificities that do not apply to the reality of the Tunisian State (29 targets). This makes up a total of 41 targets.

The audit focused on the preparedness of Government to implement the 2030 Agenda. The audit covered the period from September 2015 to August 2018. The audit focused on the adaptation of the 2030 Agenda into national context, the identification and securing of resources and capacities (means of implementation) needed to implement the 2030 Agenda and the development and establishment of a mechanism to monitor, follow-up, review and report on the progress made towards the implementation of 2030 Agenda. It assesses the actions taken by the Government through the coordinating Ministry; Ministry of National Development Planning as well as other Ministries and Agencies such as Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Local Government (Councils), Civil Society Organisations and Development partners among others. The audit assessed the actions at the national level, four (4) sub-national levels (provinces) and eight (8) local levels (districts). The audit did not cover analysis of the implementation of SDGs/2030 Agenda in the country.
